Groomer Banned From Owning Dogs After Selling Aggressive Pet

A Hampshire woman has been given a ten year ban after her Pyrenean Mountain Dog got through a neighbour’s fence and attacked a woman in her garden. Dawn Clarke, a dog groomer, was branded “reckless and irresponsible” by a judge after she sold the dog on without informing the buyer of the aggressive tendencies previously displayed by it.

The prosecution told how the 11-year-old dog called Ben wandered through a gap in the fence and attacked neighbour Trudi Ziegler, biting her repeatedly.

Clarke, who owns the dog grooming company Ringwood Pets, told how she had planned to have the dog put down, before deciding to sell it on without informing the new owner of the previous incident
