Bad weather boosts pet grooming industry

It’s a dog pack at Billi Bonz today.

A crowd of canine customers needing care.

Shop owners say when the weather gets cold and wet, the dog grooming business really heats up.

“The weather plays a real important part in our business, and when the weather is real bad, people are bringing their dogs in more,” said Billi Bonz owner, Bill Mason.

Pet care is now a $32 billion industry – with more than 60 million pet dogs nationwide – and wet weather pushes up demand for almost every dog groomer.
