The Morris Park man owns Pet Pampering Patrol, a mobile dog-grooming service that makes house calls – one of the first in the city.
“People love that you come to their house,” Garcia said. “When we come, we take your dog and you get it right back.”
Garcia, a retired NYPD detective, said he used to groom his three dogs to help him wind down after a stressful day.
Soon, he was offering to groom family members’ dogs, then neighbors’ pooches. It was one of those neighbors who suggested he start his own business. That was three years ago.
